Sukhrob Bobiev; Protest Poem

Sukhrob and I met via a mutual friend.
The song is an anti-government protest poem, which Sukhrob has turned into music. The words refer to the regime in Tajikistan, a puppet government and ally of Putin. Sukhrob had to leave Tajikistan, due to his political activism. He is currently seeking asylum in the UK. He had spent several years in mainland Europe but was being harassed by Tajik security services and feared for his safety. Muhammad Taghoev who wrote the poem is also in exile from Tajikistan. Sukhrob is from a musical family, his father and uncle are also musicians. Sukhrob plays many instruments himself and has a beautiful singing voice.
