Ukrainian Voices are a choir run by Ukrainian women in the Brighton area, who have come to the city since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russia in February 2022.
Formed in July 2022 the choir sing popular Ukrainian folk songs, for all to enjoy. The choir is an opportunity to learn something about Ukrainian culture and to show support for Ukrainian people in this difficult time.

These two songs are from a concert at Jubilee Library in Brighton.

Since the 2014 annexation of Crimea in 2014 and the full invasion in 2022, the Russian regime has tried to ban the singing of the first song and has imprisoned and fined people for singing it.
