Recorded live at Maté Café February 2019. This improvised session was the first time these musicians had played together.
Jamal and Kourosh had first met at an event in November 2018, where they played a short fusion set of Arabic percussion (Jamal) and Persian Tar (Kourosh).
They had decided to play again at the February cafe event. Until this session, they had not met the other musicians.

Tom occasionally plays with Jamal but had not met the other musicians.

Mo and Fergus are friends and have played together regularly.

Django was on his way to rehearsal with another band but popped into the cafe to check out the music being played. None of the other musicians had met him before, but upon seeing his saxophone, invited him to join them.
After a quick chat, they started to play together.

Recorded with a Zoom H4 N handheld recorder.

Kourosh: Tar and Tonbak.
Django: Saxophone.
Jamal: Percussion.
Mo: Cajón.
Tom: Percussion.
Fergus: Guitar.
