These recordings were made during an informal social gathering at the home of a mutual friend Mustafa, who kindly invited us to share the occasion.
Everyone sat around the table with food and drink, whilst Hakan and Esra played. Between songs, there was much conversation about the music and related cultures.
Please note that because of the informal (and very enjoyable) set up there is background noise of people moving and chatting in the recordings. We hope this captures the atmosphere of the afternoon. Thanks to everyone for sharing their music, knowledge and afternoon with us.
