Aref and his band are originally from Iran, they play Persian Classical music and are currently based in Scotland.

Aref: Vocal. and Setar
Mohammed: Ney and Vocal.
Kayhan: Tombak
Daniel: Kamancha

They work with Musicians in Exile and have performed at numerous events around the UK

As part of our ongoing work with the British Library, we were kindly invited to Solas Festival 2019 and were lucky enough to be able to meet and record with these fantastic musicians.

We certainly had a wonderful, fun and engaging time at the festival, which has a truly inclusive atmosphere.
